R.E.L.A.X.
You will get there....it's just a matter of time.
R - Realize it's just a matter of time.
E - Enthusiasm helps.
L - Listen to success.
A - Act and adjust.
X - Execute with force.
When I first started in this profession, I was so anxious about "getting there". It would drive me crazy, as if success were ten years away! Have you ever felt that way? Sure and so have the best of the best and that is a good feeling to have! Before we talk about RELAX, don't misinterpret the word RELAX. In other words, I don't mean for you to slow down and relax in your business but relax on the results that are just around the corner! Some of us quit right before the tide turns...avoid this fatal syndrome.
R - Realize it's just a matter of time.
One aspect of network marketing is the fact that results take time and many of us just can't wait any longer! It's hard to see the long-term results and that's exactly why we need to focus on daily results. Focus on the nows and reap the laters. Focus on the challenge, not the result. This method has been applied for years but sometimes we have no idea that's actually happening. Here is a tip my father gave me that I have never forgotten. You get paid the least when you are working the hardest!. What's the return? Eventually getting paid the most while working the least!
E - Enthusiasm helps.
Have some fun with your business! Get excited, get a bit crazy! People like to be around fun people. In a past article from Bob Swartz he says: "Run around the block or do some push-ups or something!" He's right, some of us need to get the blood moving again, get enthusiastic about what you do and people will want to know what you do! Obtain the "glow" about you that illuminates the people around you. They will feel/see the energy, trust me! Remember the saying: "Time flies when you are having fun!"
L - Listen to success.
Few people are successful unless a lot of people want them to be. Have you ever heard that? In other words, start associating with successful people. What's more important listen to successful people. I remember a seminar a few years back in which this statement was made: "STOP listening to yourself!" Let that sink in for a moment and realize that some of us are where we are today because we have listened to ourselves for too long! Plug yourself into success!
A - Act and adjust.
Activity is the mother of all success! Just do something. As we act, we learn, make mistakes, create results. If you were in a boat and not adjusting the sails what would happen? You would float aimlessly, hoping! Some of us are doing that right now. Adjust after you act, (if needed) so if you recruit in a certain way and it works, do it again! We all have a "SIGHT" for success. The days I spent in the Marine Corps rifle range were great and when you finally HIT the target over 500 meters away? Incredible, but did we just sit down and hit the bull's-eye on the first shot? No!
We learned the system for success that has been taught for 200 years. We became a product of that system and acted. Set your sight on success, act daily and adjust when needed. Just recognize that sometimes we need to adjust a bit whether it's attitude or even activities. Become a "product of the system" and focus on the numbers.
X - Execute with force.
So you have a goal, a vision, a passion, and a gameplan but if you step up to the plate without a bat, I guarantee you will strikeout. What's even worse is if you have a bat and take a swing like you just injected Novocain in your muscles. Intensity is needed no matter what you do in life. No matter what game you play! Attack your business with force, as if your time is up in life!

At Last Freedom
A voyaging ship was wrecked during a storm at sea and only two of the men on it were able to swim to a small, desert like island.
The two survivors, not knowing what else to do, agree that they had no other recourse but to pray to God. However, to find out whose prayer was more powerful, they agreed to divide the territory between them and stay on opposite sides of the island.
The first thing they prayed for was food.
The next morning, the first man saw a fruit-bearing tree on his side of the land, and he was able to eat its fruit. The other man's parcel of land remained barren.
After a week, the first man was lonely and he decided to pray for a wife.
The next day, another ship was wrecked, and the only survivor was a woman who swam to his side of the land. On the other side of the island, there was nothing.
Soon the first man prayed for a house, clothes, more food.
The next day, like magic, all of these were given to him. However, the second man still had nothing.
Finally, the first man prayed for a ship, so that he and his wife could leave the island.
In the morning, he found a ship docked at his side of the island.
The first man boarded the ship with his wife and decided to leave the second man on the island. He considered the other man unworthy to receive God's blessings, since none of his prayers had been answered.
As the ship was about to leave, the first man heard a voice from heaven booming, "Why are you leaving your companion on the island?"
"My blessings are mine alone, since I was the one who prayed for them," the first man answered. "His prayers were all unanswered and so he does not deserve anything."
"You are mistaken!" the voice rebuked him. "He had only one prayer, which I answered. If not for that, you would not have received any of my blessings."
"Tell me," the first man asked the voice, "what did he pray for that I should owe him anything?"
"He prayed that all your prayers be answered."
For all we know, our blessings are not the fruits of our prayers alone, but those of another praying for us.
When Jesus died on the cross he was thinking of you!
